Salford Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes
CENTENARY WINDOW

From 2024 - 2025, our diocese marked 100 years of travelling to Lourdes on a pilgrimage that has touched the hearts and lives of generations of people across Greater Manchester and Lancashire, since our first diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes on the 18th July 1924. To mark the powerful impact this pilgrimage has made, our Salford Lourdes Coordination Team is delighted to announce the commission of a beautiful stained-glass window, which will be installed at our newly-restored Salford Cathedral.
You, too, can be part of this wonderful legacy project by donating in memory of a loved one, as a gift, or in your family name. Names can be recorded in a specially-designed Centenary Commemorative Book, which will be kept in Salford Cathedral as a lasting legacy of this transformative pilgrimage. All donations will be used to fund the window and other Lourdes activities and initiatives marking our centenary year.
In Memory
Donating in memory of a loved one is a beautiful way to remember those we have lost, with each name being added to a Memorial Section in our Centenary Commemorative Book.
Giving A Gift
Give a gift someone will treasure each time they look at our magnificent window by making a
donation in their name.
Leaving a Legacy
Donate for yourself, your children, or grandchildren, so your family name will be part of a Lourdes legacy that will last for hundreds
of years.

HOW TO DONATE
Please contact the pilgrimage office for information on donating to our Centenary legacy projects. Thank you.
