 Welcome to the website for the Salford Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes. I hope that it will be a valuable resource in finding out more about our Pilgrimage community, the Sanctuary of Lourdes and the Apparitions of Our Lady to Bernadette that took place there in 1858. I invite you to consider whether you might like to take part in our next pilgrimage to Lourdes, either as a pilgrim or as one of our volunteer team. Everyone is welcome to join us.

Our pilgrimage family joins the church around the world in sadness and in prayer for the repose of the soul of our Holy Father, Pope Francis. May Our Lady of Lourdes accompany him to his heavenly home.

PILGRIMAGE THEME 2025

The pastoral theme for all pilgrimages to Lourdes is set by the

Bishop of Lourdes and covers all pilgrimages to the shrine in 2025. Next year's theme is:

'With Mary, pilgrims of hope.'
